Cooperation in the cement sector

The dry agitated bead mill is characterized by a wide variety of promising applications, such as improvement in cement quality and cement production or flexibility in the production of multi-component cements.

Furthermore, the dry agitated bead mill can make a contribution to the sustainability of cement production. The energy requirement for the production of one tonne of cement is around 90 kilowatt hours. The cement industry accounts for around 1.8 percent of total global energy consumption, or 4.2 percent of the global energy needs of the industry. The very high efficiency of the dry agitated bead mill in the fine grinding of clinker leads to the saving of energy consumption and enables the reduction of clinker content in the cements.

thyssenkrupp and Netzsch have been working together since 2010 on the development of dry agitated bead mills for the grinding and separation of hydraulic binders.

The Netzsch Group is a global family-owned company headquartered in Selb, Bavaria. 35 companies in Europe, North and South America and Asia as well as 54 sales and service branches and 156 representations reflect the international presence of this long-established company.
