Eqiom Lumbres Cement Plant, a CRH Company, has entrusted thyssenkrupp Polysius with the implementation of an ultrafine grinding plant. This additional grinding stage allows for the reduction of the clinker factor in cement.

Taiwan Cement Corporation, Taipei (TCC) and thyssenkrupp Polysius, via its regional headquarter Asia Pacific intend to develop, construct and commission a separate oxyfuel calciner that is unique in it’s kind and has a very compact footprint. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect was signed today in Taipei/Taiwan. The pilot plant will be built at TCC's Hoping plant and integrated into the existing production line. In a first step, TCC will commission thyssenkrupp Polysius with the engineering of the plant.

Mountain Cement Company LLC (“Mountain Cement”), part of the Eagle Materials Inc., is implementing the polysius® booster mill for the grinding capacity increase of its plant in Laramie, Wyoming/USA. The research company "CI4C" - Cement Innovation for Climate, founded by the four cement manufacturers Buzzi Unicem SpA - Dyckerhoff GmbH, HeidelbergCement AG, SCHWENK Zement GmbH & Co. KG and Vicat S.A. has awarded thyssenkrupp's Polysius business unit to build a polysius® pure oxyfuel kiln system on the site of the Mergelstetten cement plant in southern Germany.

The polytrack® cooling system developed by thyssenkrupp is used in more than 130 cement plants worldwide. The latest generation of the system requires less energy and its simplified design shortens installation, inspection and maintenance times.
